Apple's Touch ID is better than Samsung and Android devices fingerprint
scanners.
There is a new search made by two members of Blackhat
conference in Vegas this week. They found some ways to hack and steal finger
prints from Android smart devices.
There are four attacking methods that are discovered
by Fire Eye.
First one is finger print sensor spying attack. This method
is a wide range scale. It attacked Samsung Galaxy S5 as well as HTC one Max.
Sadly Android smart phones makers don't fully lock the finger print scanner. In
addition some sensor devices seems guarded by system privilege instead of root
making the job easier for the hackers.
The finger print data directly fall into attacker's
hand ,so the attackers can keep using your finger print data to do other
malicious things.
The researches calms that Apple has a pretty secure method
for their iphones and ipads which is encrypts the data from the finger print
scanner.
As the report was released. The manufactures have released
security patches to their devices.
That's why when you root your Galaxy S6/S6 EDGE the
knox and Samsung pay services won't work
because the data won't be secure.
At the end guys if you have an android smart phone
that has a fingerprint scanner ,don't root it also make sure you update your
phone ,or buy an iphone.
